A charity variety concert held at St John’s Methodist Church in St Austell raised an amazing £1,800 for Cornwall Community Foundation to help those in need. The night saw eight acts take to the stage and entertain an audience of around 250 people.

Tamara Sherston-Baker, Development Director of CCF, represented the Foundation and had a wonderful time in the company of such incredible talent.

The first act was Imerys Singers, a ladies choir that performed 3 very moving songs, followed by Geoff & Michaela who treated us to some beautiful singing, guitar, and mandolin playing.

Next up was St Mewan School Choir who performed on their own before being joined by St Mewan Community Choir. We then saw performances from Carclaze Voices, Jimmy Cannon and NoteAbility. The musical evening was completed by the Mevagissey Male Choir. Each act were exceptional and really showcased the musical talent we have here in Cornwall.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone’s generosity in raising such an amazing amount of money for us and to all of the volunteers who helped make the evening such a success.
