House Party at Watergate Bay raises £23,000 for local communities

The House Party at Watergate Bay Hotel on 19 January was a huge success. The black tie event was generously hosted by Will and Pix Ashworth of Watergate Bay Hotel and raised more than £23,000 for CCF. Emma Mantle, Trustee of the CCF and Chair of the CCF Events Committee who organised the event, thanks the many people whose generosity made the evening possible.


Young Carers’ Awareness Day – a reminder of the vital role played by Cornwall’s young carers

An army of 3,900 young people in Cornwall care for family members. Young Carers Awareness Day is designed to increase the profile of the vital role they play. The Duke of Cornwall's Benevolent Fund supports activities for young carers such as respite care, accommodation, learning breaks, hobbies or equipment. Important help to a group of young people in need of more recognition.


Howton Solar Farm Community Fund welcomes applications for grants

In 2018, the Howton Solar Fund awarded more than £39,000 to support 12 projects. Click read for more about some of the projects supported: Tamar Canoe Association, the Core Youth project, St Dominick PCC and the Saltash Great War 100 year commemoration. The deadline for applications for the next round of funding is 19 March.
