Lanhydrock Bridge Event raises £1,850 for CCF and CSMF

On 19th October, the Cornwall Community Foundation (CCF) co-hosted a fundraising afternoon with the Charlie Sumption Memorial Fund (CSMF). The event brought local people and professionals together and raised an incredible £1,850 for the charities.

The afternoon was full of games, laughter, delicious treats and a raffle full of wonderful prizes, and thanks to everyone’s generosity the event managed to raise an incredible £925 for CCF and £925 for CSMF.  A special thank you goes to CCF Trustee, Jane Trahair and CSMF Trustee, Penny Sumption for organising the afternoon.

The CSMF was set up by the Sumption family to commemorate and celebrate the brief life of Charlie Sumption who died aged 14. The purpose of this fund is to help children in Africa access valuable education, and a town to improve its resources.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who came along and supported both charities. The £925 raised for CCF will go towards helping struggling communities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. Take a look at some of the groups we have helped fund recently by clicking here.
