Co-Creating Cornwall’s Future: The Alternative G7 Voluntary Sector Summit

Cornwall Voluntary Sector Forum (CVSF) is the representative body of voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We are proud to be members of CVSF and delighted to be supporting “Co-Creating Cornwall’s Future”, a free online event to be held on the 11th June, during the G7 Summit. The event is an opportunity for voluntary organisations and community groups to celebrate and create opportunities that are long lasting after the G7 Summit.

“Co-Creating Cornwall’s Future” is designed to empower, inspire and co-create with voluntary sector organisations. It is a chance to hear inspiring stories and ask questions to topic experts, plus virtually meet other great people in the VCSE sector. Whilst the summit’s start point is Cornwall, the issues addressed are universal: the environment, economy and health and wellbeing. The event is relevant for community groups and voluntary organisations everywhere.

Keynote speakers include Sir Michael Marmot, Director of The UCL Institute of Health Equity speaking about The Health Gap and Caroline Dann from Traveller Space giving a fascinating insight on how to provide meaningful outreach when working with minority communities.

Cornwall Community Foundation CEO Tamas Haydu added “It’s great that community, charity and social enterprsie groups are coming together to provide an alternative community voice of the themes of the environment, the economy and health.  This online event will benefit people and organisations from a wide range of sectors and geographic areas.”
