Nicola O’Mara Interior Design

I am an award-winning interior designer with more than 18 years experience remodelling the homes, ski chalets, new builds and holiday houses of successful professionals in and around the Polzeath, Rock, Cornwall, the South West but also internationally.

I involve myself in every aspect of remodelling; from drawing plans to managing contractors to overseeing the design and construction detailing, yet I specialise in new build, renovation work and project managing the design and installation process. Clients use phrases such as, extremely reliable, knowledgeable, professional, provides great solutions and highly recommended when describing my services.

I fully emerge myself in all of my projects including clients and contractors meetings, furniture and material specification and coordination. I strive to make the process less stressful for my clients and I love that I can help clients make important design decisions early in the build process, which can avoid costly mistakes later on.

I started my business back in 1998 and as worked on a large variety of projects, from coastal homes, penthouse apartments, townhouses, period cottages, through to bespoke ski properties and large wooden lodges. I have been lucky enough to build up a large network of talented artisans, contractors, joinery & cabinet makers and specialist trades, who work closely in hand on my projects. I have won a variety of awards, including the Best International Ski Chalet, as well and residential and bathroom awards. I am passionate about period architecture, combining old and new, yet I love the infinite design possibilities within new builds. I studied design and successfully obtained a degree, and have learnt so much more from being hands-on.
