Grants available

This year Cornwall Glass is welcoming applications from organisations which support people in one of the priorities below:
- In work poverty/working poor
- Lack of opportunities
- Rural isolation
- Housing
- Environment

Enables charitable organisations to hold a pot of funds to distribute small grants to individuals in crisis. Charitable organisations reaching people in Crisis can apply for an initial £500 to distribute small amounts, usually no more than £200 when there is a need for immediate help, to alleviate destitution or poverty. Top-up requests can be requested after the initial reporting has been received.

The Worval Foundation aims to provide opportunities for young, disadvantaged people to change the trajectory of their lives. Grants are made to charitable organisations and agencies throughout Cornwall, for distribution to young residents in Cornwall or the Isles of Scilly, who require support. Grants are distributed on a 6 monthly basis.

SWEF is a new fund aiming to support a variety of young Cornish people aged between 18 - 30 years old who do not have the initial starter funds to get their business ideas off the ground. The fund is for 2 sets of young people:
1. Those who have already shown some initiative in getting their new business off the ground
2. Those who have an idea and need some funding to get their idea off the ground.

The Young & Talented Cornwall Creative Writing Award aims to support and encourage young writers in Cornwall, between the ages of 16 and 23. They are especially hoping to support those from disadvantaged and challenging backgrounds.

The Cornwall Women's Fund aims to support community projects in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly where women and girls will be the main beneficiaries, and to inspire ambition and enable achievement.

The Welcome Fund offers financial support to local organisations and community groups supporting refugees in Cornwall including those seeking asylum.

If you are a young innovator in Cornwall, in Science and Technology and Engineering and Maths, the Young & Talented Cornwall Spirit of Trevithick Award is here to help you achieve your goals. Priority will be given to individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The Young and Talented Fund, now headed by Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall Colonel Edward Bolitho OBE, strives to help those young individuals who have demonstrated an outstanding talent in a particular field – such as sport, the arts and science – but are struggling to achieve their ambition or progress in their chosen career because of hardship or disability.
