The Cornwall Crimebeat Fund aims to support community crime reduction and improved safety projects. Thanks to new funding from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner Devon and Cornwall, grants are available for community groups seeking to undertake initiatives to improve road safety that make their area a safer place for drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians and passengers.
Examples of possible projects (NB this list is not exhaustive, a broad range of activities can be considered):
- Education, training and information on road safety, speeding or school gate parking
- Working with children or youth groups to educate about road safety risks
- Equipment or clothing to make people more visible
- Research for larger funding bids or road safety activities
