Budock Vean joins CCF Business Club and launches a guest donation programme

We are delighted to welcome the Budock Vean as members of the CCF Business Club. In addition to their annual contribution to the Business Club, the hotel requests that their guests donate a voluntary £1.00 on their bills for the work of CCF.

Martin Barlow. owner of the Budock Vean says, “We know that Cornwall has a very special place in the hearts of our guests who come back year after year: to this end we invite them to pay a voluntary £1.00 on their bills on behalf of the CCF – but we find that in very many cases they’re opting to donate much more than that.”

Among the earlier beneficiaries of a CCF Business Club grant  was neighbouring Mylor Sailability, the charity arm of Mylor Sailing School. Mylor Sailability gives people of all ages and abilities the chance to get out on the water and discover the joys of sailing and power-boating. The CCF Business Club was able to help with an award of £1500 towards Sailability’s adapted Hawk 20 keelboat, Ida (pictured).

“The Budock Vean is an iconic Cornish hotel and we are looking forward to working with the team to support local Cornish community initiatives,” says Jo Riley, Philanthrophy Director of CCF. “In addition to being members of the Business Club, the Budock Vean guest donation scheme is a perfect example of gaining immediate support from people who have had a great experience of everything Cornwall has to offer.”
