From their studios overlooking Falmouth Bay, Seasalt designs beautiful clothes, footwear and accessories that celebrate quality and simplicity. Part of a thriving local community of modern makers and craftspeople, their carefully considered collections have a fresh, contemporary feel inspired by the heritage of their home in Cornwall and a creative life by the sea.
Seasalt’s story began on a wet August day in 1981 when the Chadwick family went into a littleshop in Adelaide Street, Penzance. They only wanted some waterproof coats, but ended up buying the premises as well. Those early days, when their customers were the fishermen, farmers, painters and potters of St Ives, continue to influence Seasalt’s products today.
Using the best materials and featuring imaginative prints produced by co-founder and senior print designer, Sophie Chadwick, and Seasalt’s small team of in-house artists and illustrators, the brand stay true to their roots selling wonderfully wearable clothes that are designed to be loved and stand the test of time.
